Today was definitely one of the days I was looking forward to, the day we went to the Great Wall. Once again it wasn’t quite what I expected. Interesting fact, the wall is on top of a mountain and the traditional way to reach the wall is to walk not to ride the adjacent cable cars. Lucky for us we kept it traditional, it was eighty-five degrees and sunny out but we forged right on through to the top. Before hand I didn’t know that seeing the Great Wall was actually going to be exercise, but for future reference… it is. Once we got to the top it was definitely worth it, it was a spectacular structure with an even more spectacular view. We walked around on top for a bit and took many pictures of the magnificent edifice. After we had seen all we wanted to see we, fortunately, took the cable cars to the bottom. Lucky for us it isn’t tradition to climb down. After our peaceful descent we found many street vendors where we once again got to bargain and buy many unique items and souvenirs. After this I was extremely tired, I slept the whole way back on the bus and went to bed around five. I only woke up for about an hour and a half to grab a snack and watch some TV then it was right back to bed.
