Day 8 Today was our free day but we ended up sticking together as a group with Krysta and going to see the Temple of Heaven and the Pearl Market. We got the chance to ride the subway for the first time which was an experience of its own. To ride halfway across the city only cost .28 cents! It really seems like the way to travel around Beijing even though it’s quite crowded. I really enjoyed the Temple of Heaven because they had a lot of live entertainment and beautiful gardens. The musical entertainment was a lot different from America. They even had a guy who was singing just like a woman. I was very impressed. After the Temple we went to the Japanese fast food restaurant again that everyone like and had Dairy Queen after. Then we went to the wholesale market which mainly consists of Pearls. It was insane to see how cheap pearls there can be! In the states they would be so much more. Even celebrities go there to buy their pearls. Also in the same building were more purses so I bought three more, Dolce and Gabanna, Jimmy Choo and Salvatore Ferragimo for very cheap. However the highlight of the day/trip was going to see the Chinese flying acrobats. They were incredible. It was only 100 Yuan but the show was so fantastic I would’ve paid 100 dollars! Some of the stunts they pulled were terrifying and unbelievable. It was comparable to seeing Cirque de Solai in America
