Day 4 Today was the day I was looking forward to all trip, the Beijing Zoo. Once we arrived at the zoo the first exhibit we saw was the Giant Panda. Most of them were either sleeping or in the far back corner of their areas. However there was one panda that was running around, jumping on the tire swing, and trying to wake up the other bears. It was really cute. Other than the pandas we saw lions, tigers, bears, hippos and a bunch of other animals. The zoo was huge and really beautiful. After the zoo we left and went to a Chinese version of fast food. It was delicious. It was attached to a Dairy Queen so after lunch we all had blizzards. After that we went to a shopping center that sold everything you can imagine. The prices were already very low but we were able to bargain if we wanted to. I bought a Louis Vuitton purse that was initially 600 Yuan but I was able to bargain it down to 500. After shopping we came back to the hotel and I took a nap. For dinner we went to Grandma’s Kitchen which was an Americanized restaurant. I had chicken finger basket. It was funny to see how China interpreted Americanized foods as bacon, hotdogs and cheese all on top of a burger. After dinner we went to this Chinese night life place where there was a bunch of bars and restaurants surrounding a lake. It was very pretty and a lot of fun. The entire group came. We stayed until midnight and then headed back to the hotel.
