Today was the day I was dreading yet looking forward to; we were going home.  We got up, finished packing and went to breakfast for the final time.  Shortly after, we boarded the bus and headed for the Beijing airport.  We got there a good three or so hours early.  We wandered around the terminal in search of food for a while.  We finally stumbled into a little stand that was cheap enough for me to get rid of my last 18 Yuan.  It wasn’t a very good ham sandwich that I bought either.  Some other people in the group brought back some leftover Pizza Hut and were kind enough to give me a couple of slices.  Finally, it was time to begin our journey home as we boarded the plane.  It was another long thirteen and a half hour flight.  Once again, I spent my time reading or sleeping.  I was secluded in the back of the plane near nobody else in the group.  However, I got up every now and then to talk to them.  After eight hours, we started to go a little crazy, so we somehow got into a little game of tag.  I must say that it helped pass the time.  During the flight, we were also able to see the North Pole.  It was a lot of ice with cracks going through it.  At least I can say that I saw the North Pole now.  At the end of the flight, they finally put an American movie on the screens so I ended up watching that for the last couple hours of the flight.  The movie was Law Abiding Citizens, which was better than I was expecting.  Shortly after the movie ended, we began our final decent into New York.  We got off and went through customs fairly quickly.  The longest thing was waiting for our luggage to come.  After that, we said our final goodbyes and headed off to see our families.  It was officially the end of the Plus 3 trip to China.  It will certainly be an unforgettable one.
