Today we left the hotel at 9:00 for the airport. I had packed the night before, so the leaving and check-out process was not very time-consuming. More time-consuming was the process of getting back home – we waited in the Beijing airport for a few hours, sat on the plane for 12 hours, and went through customs together. Transferring terminals was a pain and took a few hours, but fortunately I had the company of Frank, Rachael, and Krysta. After an hour delay at JFK, I took my final plane back to Rochester and proceeded to sleep for essentially a full day after I got home.
